Empowering Communities for a Healthy Mississippi
The Healthy MS Conference – Empowering Communities for a Healthy Mississippi (ECHMC) is the largest gathering of public health professionals in Mississippi, attracting over 400 local and state administrators, nurses, physicians, educators, researchers, epidemiologists, health specialists and engaged citizens, all in one place.
The conference program developed by the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) and Mississippi Health Disparities (MHD) Planning Committee aims to address current and emerging issues in health science, policy and practice related to disease prevention and health promotion. This event has evolved to bring together a diverse group of influential public health leaders, healthcare professionals and community health advocates across Mississippi.
The 2025 Healthy MS Conference will include breakfast and lunch keynote speakers and various breakout sessions showcasing best practices, the latest data and research on significant public health initiatives and key community health issues.

Important Notice for those seeking Social Work Continuing Education at the 2025 Conference:
The Mississippi State Department of Health (DP#SWB12007) is approved as a designated provider for continuing education for licensed social workers by the Mississippi Board of Examiners for Social Workers and Marriage & Family Therapists—approval period: 12/1/2024 to 11/30/2026.
Social Work continuing education hours have been applied for. If approved, attendance verification and program evaluations for each session will be required in order to receive continuing education credit. Certificates will be emailed after the event.
